DHEA

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is one of our key hormones.  It is often referred to as the superhormone.  It is naturally produced in the adrenal glands and then converted to a large number of other essential hormones, most important, testosterone and estrogen, which are vital ingredients to our body chemistry, and critical for maintaining optimum health and vitality.

DHEA supplementation is recommended because our natural production of this vital substance hits a peak around age 25.  After that the amount the body produces gradually decreases with age.  By about age 30, the decline in DHEA production becomes quite dramatic, and by age 80 the blood levels of DHEA are only about 5% of those at the peak.
