Glucosamine

Glucosamine is manufactured by the body and it stimulates the production of glycosaminoglycans, which are key components of cartilage. It appears that as some people age, their ability to synthesize (or make) sufficient glucosamine becomes impaired, resulting in the onset of osteoarthritis. Supplemental glucosamine can help the body to produce the substances necessary for proper joint function, and may even help with joint repair.
