Lycopene

A powerful antioxidant carotenoid pigment (coloring). Lycopene is the pigment that gives tomatoes their red color. A diet rich in carotenoids may be associated with a reduction in certain forms of cancer as well as a reduced incidence of other diseases. Lycopene complements the antioxidant activity of other carotenoids, such as beta-carotene.
