Pantothenic Acid

Also known as vitamin B5, a water soluble B complex vitamin. Its name is derived from a Greek word meaning "everywhere" as an indication of how widely distributed this vitamin is in nature. Panthenol, the form of the vitamin generally used in VitaMist® spray nutraceuticals, plays a pivotal role in the conversion of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins into energy. Many people believe that pantothenic acid can enhance athletic performance. It also appears to help alleviate pain and joint stiffness in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
