Rose Hips

A rich source of bioflavonoids. Bioflavonoids are plant pigments responsible for the colors of the leaves, fruits and flowers. They were originally discovered together with vitamin C and called "vitamin P" when they were shown to enhance the effects of vitamin C against scurvy. They are regarded as semi-essential to the human diet and appear to have anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-carcinogenic, and anti-allergic properties. Bioflavonoids are also considered potent anti-oxidants.
