Vitamin D

The type of vitamin D used in VitaMist® spray nutraceuticals is known as vitamin D3, or cholecalciferol. Vitamin D3 is a fat soluble vitamin that is required for healthy bones and teeth. It can be made in the skin on exposure to sunlight (the only vitamin that can be made in this way). It is integrally involved in calcium uptake, transport, and deposition into the bones. Because of both its role and the way it is formed, supplemental vitamin D is highly recommended, especially for the elderly and during the darker months of fall and winter.
