Summer Is Here Again!

As I write this letter, we are working hard to prepare for our Homecoming event.  With our relocation to a newer building, and Bill’s health concerns, we were unable to host a Homecoming event last year.  Now that we are back in action, we want to make this year’s the best Homecoming ever.  It will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I can’t wait to meet those of you who are going to be making the trip to Phoenix.

Veterans Day and Memorial Day: There Is A Difference!

Veterans Day and Memorial Day: There Is A Difference!

Happy Thursday, everyone.  My name is Steve.  As part of the quality assurance team here, some of you have talked to me on the phone when you have had questions about our products.  Others know me for my long, rambling and occasionally nonsensical health tips and articles.  Sorry for boring you with wordiness, by the way.  What you probably don’t know is that I’m also a veteran.  Which is why I decided to make this week’s article about the differences between Veterans Day, on November 11th, and Memorial Day, coming up on the last Monday of May.  And yes, they are most definitely different.  Memorial day commemorates those who have given their lives in service to their country and is a day of remembrance.  Veterans Day is the day we honor our troops, and as a veteran, I’d like to add that it’s a great day to buy a vet a beer.  Or you could just say thanks.  We’re not that picky.

The Best and Worst Foods of Summer

The Best and Worst Foods of Summer

It’s kind of a myth that summer means more exercise and healthier food choices for everyone. One eye-opening study found that kids gain weight three times faster over summer than they do the rest of the school year, thanks to a steady diet of junk food and video games.

And while there’s no comparable stat on grown-ups and weight gain, barbecues, state fairs, and waterside food vendors offer plenty of temptation. Here are the summer foods you should always avoid, and healthier options you can feel free to enjoy.

A Complicated Summer

By Bill Deihl
on August 01, 2016
As you know by now, the 2016 VitaMist Homecoming was canceled.  What you may not know is why.  Every business has to fight through complications, and this summer has been full of them.  Some of those complications have been positive.  For instance, VitaMist’s main office is almost finished relocating.  After twenty-six at our offices in Phoenix, VitaMist has moved to a new facility in Tempe.  While it’s only a ten-minute drive from our old facility, it is still a huge change for us.  There’s just so much that goes into moving to a new building.  On top of the furniture, files, and equipment that we moved, we had to tackle transferring our computer network, rewiring the electric and data connections in the new building, installing a new water purification system, installing the security system, setting up a new production facility… the list goes on and on.  In the end, though, the headache is well worth it.  Our new facility is newer, more modern, easier to maintain and in a great, high traffic location!  It was complicated, but also very exciting.

Remembering Those Who Gave Their Lives

By Bill Deihl
on June 01, 2016
Today, as I write my letter for the June VitaMist View, it is Memorial Day.

It is so easy to celebrate the holiday and allow its true meaning to escape us. As we, Americans, gather at barbecues or ball games with our family and friends, we often forget the origins and real significance of days like today.  I know that by the time you read this, Memorial Day will have passed and be just a distant memory, but why not pause, just for a moment right now, to honor our war dead from decades past and our soldiers overseas today, who are risking their lives for us.

What an incredible month June has been, and as I write this, it’s still not quite over! Throughout June our VitaMist family has been expanding like never before. VitaMist really is exploding!

Steering a business like VitaMist is never straightforward. Our Distributors are all over the country and it is our job, at the Home Office in Phoenix, to keep everyone up to date and informed about what is going on. Over the past 2 – 3 years we have tried a lot of new and exciting approaches, some have worked, others have not! Over the last couple of months we have started to see what works and what does not in our quest to make VitaMist into a turnkey system.

What do I mean by turnkey? Well, in a turnkey business, the emphasis is on “the system.” The system must be so effective and so reproducible, that you can be sure that the same result is produced each time. Perhaps one of the best examples of the turnkey business is McDonalds. The McDonalds franchise owner needs to do very little apart from ‘turn the keys’ of the operation and “the system” takes care of the rest. The result? McDonalds franchises have a 1400% higher success rate than traditional businesses.

Our goal at VitaMist is to do the same thing, and “the system” is falling into place. You will see it all fall into place this month at the homecoming event and the months to follow. When you leave homecoming, you will have the foundations of the turnkey system, with the month to come you will see the introduction of more parts of the system, like a DVD/CD that can be handed to people as a great way to pre-qualify them for VitaMist. If YOU follow the system, then you, just like the McDonalds owner, will have a 1400% higher success rate than traditional network marketing.

Albert Einstein could have been talking about VitaMist when he said:

Things should be made as simple as possible, but not any simpler.

The Summer Sun

By Bill Deihl
on July 01, 2011
I'm not sure if all of you are aware that I was born and grew up in the Chicago area. You might say not all that much sun and more cloudy days than not, in Chicago.  But, when we were kids, on the days we did have sun, we worshiped it.   Not only did we bask in it but also we covered our bodies with a mixture of baby oil and iodine.  It absorbed the rays, and you should have seen the beautiful tans. I’m sure all of you who aren’t quite my age yet are wondering why we didn’t use sunscreen.  Well the only suntan lotion at the time was Coppertone and No one even knew about sunscreens or the damage we were doing to our skin.
